| 1 - | Roof moulding without roof rail |
| q | Removing - starting from windscreen, lever off with soft plastic wedge and pull out forwards from end cap → Chapter |
| q | Do not bend roof moulding |
| q | Installing - renew clips, position roof moulding on roof frame/windscreen (see cross sectional diagram) and fit in clips by striking with hand |
| q | Press on end caps securely |
| 2 - | Roof moulding with roof rails |
| q | Removing - unscrew hexagon socket head bolts and take off roof rails upwards |
| q | Unclip roof moulding and pull out forwards from end caps → Chapter |
| q | Installing - renew clips, position roof moulding on roof frame/windscreen and fit in clips by striking with hand |
| 3 - | Clip (qty. 8) |
| q | Renewing - use only once |
| q | Removing → Chapter |
| 4 - | End cap |
| q | If installing new roof moulding - first clean adhesive contact area on roof (e.g. cleaning solution -D 009 401 04-) |
| q | Pull of protective paper and press on end cap firmly |
| q | If reinstalling and adhesive is no longer strong enough, use double-sided adhesive tape -D 004 400-; do not remove old adhesive foam strip |

| 7 - | Assembly position |
| q | Gap without roof rail 4 ± 2.5 mm |
| q | Gap with roof rail 5 ± 2.5 mm |

| 10 - | Surround with hose profile for windscreen |
