Removing broken rear window
–  Remove D-pillar trim, rear shelf and end strip (moulded headliner/window) → Chapter.
  Note
It is only necessary to take out the rear shelf if remains of glass need removing.
–  Protect body and interior against damage from glass splinters.
–  Remove pieces of glass up to adhesive sealing material.
   
–  Pull off connectors for rear window heating and aerial.
–  Cut through adhesive sealing material (with remains of glass) in window opening with electric cutter and blade -V.A.G 1561/10- (with stop roller).
  WARNING
Mask off window opening when working with cutting tool or electric cutter. Always wear protective goggles and leather gloves.
