Throttle valve positioner (V60) with 6-pin connector

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items

  • ◆ Fault reader V.A.G 1551 or vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552 with cable V.A.G 1551/3
  • ◆ Hand multimeter V.A.G 1526 or multimeter V.A.G 1715
  • ◆ Diode test lamp V.A.G 1527
  • ◆ Adapter set V.A.G 1594
  • ◆ Current flow diagram

Test conditions

  • ● Fuse 15 OK.

Test sequence

 
V24-1133
  • ‒ → Pull back rubber boot on throttle valve positioner (V60) plug.
  • ‒ Connect diode test lamp V.A.G 1527 with aux. cables from V.A.G 1594 to contacts 2+4.
  • ‒ Initiate final control diagnosis .
    When activating the throttle valve positioner the LED must
         flicker.

If the LED does not flicker:

  • ‒ Input 06 for "End output" and confirm with Q.
 
N24-0144
  • ‒ → Pull connector -1- off throttle valve positioner -2-.
  • ‒ Connect multimeter with aux. cables from V.A.G 1594 to measure voltage at contacts 3+4 of the connector.
         Specification: approx. battery voltage
  • ‒ Switch off ignition

If the specification is not obtained:

  • ‒ Check contact 3 wiring according to current flow diagram.
  • ‒ Carry out electrical check, test step 18
    => Page 01-20 , if necessary renew throttle valve positioner (V60).
