Removing and installing column tube for height adjustable steering wheel > < Installing steering wheel

Passat (B3)

Removing and installing coil connector with slip ring
Removing and installing coil connector with slip ring
Remove airbag module → Chapter.
Remove steering wheel → Chapter.
–  Separate single connector for horn.
   
–  Unscrew Phillips screws -1- and pull coil connector with slip ring -2- off the steering wheel.
Install steering wheel → Chapter.
Install airbag module → Chapter.
  Note
t  When removing and installing the coil connector with slip ring, ensure that the coil connector is in the centre position.
t  Coil connector with slip ring is secured as a new part in the centre position with a cable tie.
