Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

Front Pipe With Catalytic Converters

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

-

Torque wrench V.A.G 1332

Removing

NOTE:  Replace self-locking nuts.

-

Remove air filter.

-

Disconnect the electrical connectors - 1 - and - 2 - for Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) G39 and Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 G108.

-

Free up electrical wires to oxygen sensors.

-

Remove front exhaust pipe nuts accessible from top from exhaust manifolds - arrows -.

-

Remove noise insulation.

-

Remove the front section of the right wheel housing liners.

-

Remove right underbody cover - arrows -
