Remove hex head bolt -1- or -2- on both sides.

Note: For the sake of a better illustration, only the left side of the vehicle is shown.

Secure position of the subframe using 2 locating fixtures T10096 to 20 Nm.

Remove remaining 2 bolts from subframe.

Carefully lower subframe with components.

Note: Ensure there is enough clearance for brake lines, electrical lines and driveshaft centering pin when lowering.

Subframe with components, installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Remove driveshaft at rear final drive.

Bleed brake system.

-

Perform vehicle alignment.

Note: If replacing an aluminum subframe with a steel subframe, then the following work must be performed: Subframe with components, installing.
