Note:
Place thick flat blade as protection between roof member and roof panel. Ensure that blade protects roof panel throughout operation.

WARNING:
Protective eyewear should be worn at all times.

Drill hole for clip and install new headliner

Protect interior from drill filings.

Use 7 mm (9/32") bit to drill hole as marked. Use drill stop according to illustration. Adjust hole to rectangular shape using triangular or square file.
Hole should be 8 mm (5/16") wide and 15 mm (19/32") high.

Note:
Do not exceed above dimensions, otherwise clip may not seat securely.

Rustproof hole with touch-up paint (or zinc primer).

Install new headliner as described in service manual.

WARRANTY STATEMENT:
Claims may be submitted under the New Car Limited Warranty when a manufacturing defect is present using claim type: 01.
