Repair of base-solid paint and clear lacquer
All paintwork repairs to cars with a base-solid paint and clear lacquer finish must be carried out with the same type of paint, to ensure that differences in
shade and surface quality do not occur later.
This type of finish is presently available in the following colors:
White 189-23
Red 601-43
Cars with a base-solid paint and clear lacquer finish are identified by the number "3" as the fifth digit of the paint code. For example, color No. 189 is
represented by the code 189-23. The delivery code - in this case "2" - may vary.
What is a base-solid paint and clear lacquer finish? The finish consists of two coats - a base coat of matt paint with a coat of clear lacquer on top.
WARNING:
Protective equipment should be worn at all times.
