- Clip cable to torque rod bracket.

Note:  Cable should move freely in secured clip.

- Install cable:

‹› Run cable through sleeve bracket on rear axle and through brake shield. Install rubber gaiter. Check that gaiter is positioned securely.

- Lubricate operating lever pivot and brake shoe sliding surfaces.

‹› Use thin coating of heat-resistant graphite grease. Connect cable to lever.

- Insert cable and locate operating lever in position behind rear axle flange.

Note:  Arrow on lever should point upward.
