9. Apply masking tape to protect chromed section of bumper. Remove condenser by lifting carefully straight up.

CAUTION:

If replacing the condenser, the new unit with the new connection fittings and seals must be used. Refer to the Modifications for New Type of Seals.

Ensure that all open ends are sealed when installing unit.
Modification Of Earlier Cars For New Type Of Seals - Condenser Installation
1. When replacing condenser with new type with new seals, transfer pressostats from original to new unit.
2. Install condenser from underneath.
NOTE: Ensure that the two rubber bushings in the cross-member are in place when installing the condenser.
3. Insert bolts securing condenser to radiator.
4. Reconnect/install:

Pressostat connectors.
-
Air cleaner intake.
-
Air baffles.
