Tachometer: Testing and Inspection
Gauge Check

1. If tachometer does not work at all, check wiring between 30-pole connector on instrument cluster A11 (white/black) and ignition control module

connector B29 for short circuit.

2. If no short is found, replace instrument cluster.
3. If tachometer gives an inaccurate reading, check instrument cluster signal ground connection by inspecting wiring between 30-pin connector on

instrument cluster (A15/brown) and ground point 31/51:6 on wiring diagram.
