Door Lamp: Service and Repair
Door Switch Replacement

Remove screw and withdraw switch.

Disconnect leads. Apply rust protector if necessary.

Fit new unit.
More modern door switches with drainage grooves have been introduced.

Modification of older switches:
Cover the lower hole with a piece of tape 19 x 19 mm (0.75 x 0.75 in). See illustration.
Make a 4 mm (0.16 in) hole in the lower part of the rubber protector. See illustration.

Reassemble in reverse order

Check that Interior lighting comes on.
