Place selector cable into pin #2.
Checking Pin 12

Connect a voltmeter between ground and pin 12 at ECU connector.
a. Reading: approx. 12 volts
b. Reading: 0 volt when button is depressed

If O.K., diagnostic socket is working correctly. See step 22.

If the diagnostic socket fails the test, check wiring between ECU connector and diagnostic socket. If wiring is O.K., see next step.

Disconnect diagnostic socket connector.
14.
Connect voltmeter between blue wire and ground.
Reading: approx. 12 volts
15.
Turn ignition OFF.

Connect ohmmeter between black wire and ground.
