PURPOSE
The upper EGR pipe transfers recirculated exhaust gases from the EGR vacuum valve to the intake manifold.
CONSTRUCTION
The pipe is provided with a 6mm hole for the temperature sensor probe and a dimple to ensure that the probe is not forced against the bottom of
the pipe. Fig. 124.
When an EGR temperature sensor is used in the EGR valve, the hole is plugged or a different type pipe may be used.
