Torque Rod: Service and Repair

1.
Raise vehicle and place stands under the jacking points of body.
2.
Remove torque rod attaching bolts, then the torque rod, Fig. 3.
3.
Replace bushings in large end using drift 5239, a V-block and a hydraulic press. Press bushings in squarely.
4.
Replace bushings in small end using drift 5239, plate 5240 supported on a V-block and a hydraulic press.
5.
Install rear end of torque rod first, then install the front end with X-link.
6.
Torque to specifications.
