6. Remove the bearing cups and seals from the new spider. Make sure that the needle bearings and seals are in place in the bearing cups.
7. Position the spider in the coupling flange yoke. Fit one of the bearing cups on the spider. Tap the bearing cup lightly until it is firmly seated.
8. Press in the bearing cup using the vice and a suitable sleeve. Press the bearing cups about 3-4 mm (0.12-0.16 in) through the yoke.
9. Fit the snap ring.
10. Check the position of the spider. Make sure that the end is centered.
11. Fit the other bearing cup in the yoke. Tap lightly until it is securely seated.
12. Press in the bearing cup and fit the snap ring. When the second bearing cup is pressed into position, the first bearing cup is pressed against its snap
ring.
