Standard manual 5-speed transmission, with fifth gear as an overdrive. It has new multi synchromesh with triple synchromesh for gears 1-2-3 and sintered baulk rings on gears
4-5.
For the B230 FK and B230 GK the gear ratio is higher for gears 1-2 which gives better starts when the car is fully loaded.
