Turbo Pressure Delay Valve: Testing and Inspection

NOTE: A turbo pressure delay valve is installed on vehicles equipped with Garrett turbo chargers only.

Check that the red side of the valve is installed facing the intake manifold.

1.

Check hoses to valve for condition and connection. Replace if needed.

2.

Disconnect delay valve from hoses.

3.

Blow through valve in both directions. Air should flow faster one way then the other. If valve is clogged, or air flows at same speed both ways,
replace and retest with new valve.

4.

Reinstall delay valve with red side towards the intake manifold.
