Toe In
Check that the instruments on the front and rear axles are aligned. This is important as it allows toe in to be checked/adjusted in relation to the
symmetrical axis of the car. Correct value
0.07° (4.2') measured over both wheels. Maximum deviation 0.09° (5.4') per wheel.
General Information
General
For the car to have good steering properties and a minimum of tire wear the wheels must be correctly aligned. The wheel angles include; caster (axle
inclination), camber (wheel inclination), Ackerman angles, king pin inclination and toe-in/out.
Note! All measurements should be made with the car empty.
Corrections Before Wheel Alignment
The following may also affect the wheel angles. Before measuring and adjusting these faults should be rectified.
1. Differing tire pressures
2. Differing tire wear
3. Play in the front wheel bearings
4. Play in the ball joint or control arm mounting
5. Broken springs
6. Damaged steering gear
7. Play in the tie rods
8. Damaged upper shock absorber bearing
9. Abnormal (temporary) equipment or load

Note! Camber angle is to be adjusted if it lies outside of the tolerance 0° ± 1°. Variation between the left and right side may be no more than 1°.
Adjust as follows:
Put the car on blocks and remove the wheels.
