Electronic Throttle Actuator: Service and Repair

REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY (ELCTRONIC THROTTLE MODULE)

Preparation 

Remove 
-

the air intake between the front cover plate and the Air Cleaner (ACL)housing

-

the battery negative lead. Note when disconnecting/connecting the battery lead

Disconnect the connectors from the pressure and temperature sensors on the charge air pipe to the Throttle Body (TB).
Release the hose clamps on the charge air pipe.
Remove the charge air pipe.

 
 
Removing the Throttle Body (TB) 

-

Remove the support bracket for the starter motor

-

Disconnect the Throttle Body (TB) connector

-

Remove the mounting screws from the Throttle Body (TB). Lift up the Throttle Body (TB). Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly.
