Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair
Removing The Fluid Reservoir

Install lock grip pliers on the return hose from the fluid reservoir as close to the power steering pump as possible.
Warning: Avoid skin contact with the oil.

Extract the oil using the suction unit.

Lift the fluid reservoir from its mounting

Disconnect both the hoses from the reservoir

Remove the reservoir.
Installing fluid reservoir

Install the reservoir in reverse order
-
Top up with oil. Use Volvo power steering fluid, P/N 1161529-1 to ensure the correct oil quality.
