Secure the shaft in a vice.
Position a drift between snap ring wings. Knock of the joint inner cone. Modify the drift according to instructions.
Remove the old boot from the shaft. Install a new one
Check the inner track snap ring. Replace if necessary.
Tap the inner bearing track on to the joint. Use drift 999 2413 PUNCH See: Tools and Equipment/999 2413 Punch.
Check that the snap ring is seated in its groove.
Checking and inspection
Clean the inner drive shaft components thoroughly.
Reassembly
Assemble the inner joint
