Check the cable between VGLA control module #A23 and fuel tank filler cover opening switch terminal 1 and the cable between fuel tank filler cover
opening switch terminal 3 and ground for an open-circuit See: Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/Related Tests and
Information/Checking Wiring and Terminals - Permanent Faults

Replace the switch.

Verification

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

Ignition off.

-

Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.

-

Ignition on.

Activate the fuel tank filler cover opening switch
Read off the switch status.
The value should be LOW when the switch is activated.
