Disconnect charge air pipe (D), (see illustration).

Note!  Cover turbocharger outlet when charge air pipe has been removed so that foreign bodies cannot fall into the outlet!

Disconnect ignition cable from the holder on the reverse of Air Cleaner (ACL) cover

Remove and position cover (E) as far forward as possible.

Applies to all right-hand drive cars: 

The brake master cylinder must be removed to make room for the tool (puller cylinder) on right-hand drive cars.

Remove brake pipes from mountings on firewall.

Remove brake master cylinder from power brake booster.

-

Lift brake master cylinder up carefully to avoid damaging brake pipe. (Hold brake master cylinder in place with a tie strip.)
