Note!  Check cars with lower chassis numbers than below. If the pushrod seat has caught on the end of the push rod replace brake master cylinder. The
seat must not be reinstalled in the master cylinder.

Applies to all cars with diesel engines:

Remove engine cover.

-

Remove the EGR valve and pipe.

-

Push EGR valve and pipe to one side.

Applies to all types including turbo models: 
-

Remove screw from upper torque control arm mounting on motor.

-

Fold up and position torque control bracket above the torque control arm bushing bracket.

-

Take out hydraulic pump 999 5576 and puller cylinder 999 5575.

-

Install connecting rod 999 5584 in puller cylinder.
