Removing and installing the hinges for the tailgate
Removing hinges
Note! Mark the position of the hinge using a pencil before removing the hinge.
Remove:
-
the tailgate according to Tailgate See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tailgate
-
the screw for the hinge
-
the hinge.
Installing hinges
Note! When replacing, spray paint the hinge using the correct color before installation.
Install:

the hinge according to the markings. Tighten by hand

the tailgate according to Tailgate See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tailgate.
Carefully close the tailgate. Check the alignment.
Tighten the screws. Tighten to 24 Nm.
If necessary, adjust the tailgate according to Adjusting the tailgate See: Adjustments.
