Volvo's metallic paint is a two coat type. This consists of a base metallic coat at the bottom and a 2 comp varnish coat at the top. This system gives a
good finish and good color durability.

Stir the metallic base coat well from the start.
This is important in order to reduce the risk of color defects.
Dilute the metallic base paint to the correct spray viscosity
Use the prescribed thinner. Other thinners may result in patches.
Note! When repairing base solid paintwork, a test panel should always be painted in order to check the color.
Spray viscosity 16-18 seconds SIS cup 4mm/20°C.
Adjust the paint sprayer.
