Symptoms of a deployed seat belt tensioner:

-

when the seat belt is pulled out, it sticks or jerks

-

the seat belt cannot be stretched out at all or only very little.

Preparations 

-

Make a note of the anti-theft radio code

-

Switch off the ignition

-

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

NOTE:  Wait at least five minutes before disconnecting the connector or beginning work with electrical components.

Removing The B-post Seat Belt Tensioner 

-

Remove the B-post panel

-

Disconnect the connector from the seat belt tensioner

-

Remove the two screws for the seat belt reel from the B-post

-

Pull the seat belt upwards and outwards.
