Remove the rain guard by carefully prying the hooks up wards and lifting the guard up at the same time.
Close the shutter

Ignition on.

Press the REC button to the MAN position.

Turn the switch for the blower fan motor so that the first LED is lit.
^
Wait a few seconds so that the outer air shutter closes.
^
Ignition off.
Installing the cover

Install the cover at the rear edge of the air intake.
Secure the side mounting for the cover at the edge of the air intake behind the outer air shutter spindle. Slide the cover backwards until it securely clicks
into place at the rear edge.
For vehicles equipped without the interior air quality system proceed to step 7.
For vehicles equipped with the interior air quality system proceed through steps 4-6

Wait a few seconds.
