Ignition off.

Enlarging the hole in outer air shutter

Note! 

Place a rag under the outer air shutter to catch any debris.

Enlarge the hole in the outer air shutter for the air quality sensor (A) to 7.84.0 mm (approx. 5/16").

Use a small conical drill bit. Drill from beneath the outer air shutter.

Remove:

-

any burrs on top of the cover

-

the rag and any debris.

Installing the clip

Install the clip from beneath the outer air shutter in the enlarged hole for the air quality sensor.

Position the clip so that the profile on the mating surface of the clip aligns with the reinforcement ribs on the shutter.

Check that the clip is secured in the shutter.

Note!

It is important that the clip is installed correctly to reduce the whistling noise.

Reinstallation

Install the:

-

rain guard

-

plenum chamber and gutter.
