Trunk / Liftgate Lock: Service and Repair

Lock mechanism, tailgate, replacing

Removing the tailgate lock

-

Remove the upper tailgate panel. See Panel, tailgate, replacing See: Trunk / Liftgate Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Panel, Tailgate,
Replacing

Remove the lower tailgate panel. See Lower tailgate panel See: Trunk / Liftgate Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Lower Tailgate Panel

Remove the three screws

-

Disconnect the connector

-

Disconnect the link

-

Pull out the lock.

Installing the tailgate lock

Install:

In reverse order.

Note! Adjust the lock.
