Sunroof / Moonroof Cable: Service and Repair

Mechanism/mechanical cable sun roof, replacement

Caution! When replacing the mechanism/mechanical cable, both sides must be replaced.

Preparatory work

Remove:

-

the sun roof. See Sun roof, replacing See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Sunroof, Replacing 

-

the motor. See Electric motor, sun roof, replacing See: Sunroof / Moonroof Motor/Service and Repair 

-

the glass cover. See Glass sun roof, replacement See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Service and Repair 

-

the drainage channel. See Gutter sun roof, replacement See: Sunroof / Moonroof Frame/Service and Repair/Gutter Sunroof, Replacement.

Removing the mechanism/mechanical cable

Angle the mechanism up.
Remove the screw.
