Remove:

-

the screws from the bracket for the gear selector cable

-

the cable from the lever. Use special tool 999 7077 Jimmy bar See: Tools and Equipment/999 7077 Jimmy Bar. Move the cable to one side.

Removing the gear-shift position sensor from the gear shift linkage rod

Remove:

-

the lever

-

the nut, lock washer and rubber seal from the gear-shift position sensor

-

the 2 screws for the gear-shift position sensor.

Carefully lift the sensor off the gear shift linkage rod.
