XC90 L5-2.5L Turbo VIN 59 B5254T2 (2004)
Remove:
-
the lever
-
the nut, lock washer and rubber seal from the gear-shift position sensor
-
the 2 screws for the gear-shift position sensor.
Carefully lift the sensor off the gear shift linkage rod.
Installation
Note! For tightening torques, see See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Tightening Torque
Replacing the sealing ring for the gear-shift linkage rod
Remove the old sealing ring. Use a small rounded off screwdriver.
Take care not to damage the rod.
Smear a little automatic transmission fluid on the new sealing ring. Install the ring. Use drift 999 5476 PUNCH See: Tools and Equipment/999 5476
Punch.
Installing the gear-shift position sensor
Tighten the sensor screws lightly.
Install the rubber washer, lock washer and the nut on the gear shift linkage rod connection.
Tighten the nut.
