Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Carrier plate, replacing

Special tools:

999 5112 GEAR SECTOR See: Tools and Equipment/999 5112 Gear Sector 
999 5678 Special screw See: Tools and Equipment/999 5678 Special Screw 

Removal

Preparatory work

Remove transmission AW55-50. See Transmission, removing See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
Remove transmission AW50AWD. See Transmission, removing See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.

Removing the carrier plate

Remove the engine speed (RPM) sensor with the bracket. Place it to one side.

Block the carrier plate using gear sector 999 5112 GEAR SECTOR See: Tools and Equipment/999 5112 Gear Sector.

Remove:

-

all screws

-

the carrier plate

-

gear sector999 5112 GEAR SECTOR See: Tools and Equipment/999 5112 Gear Sector.

Check the crankshaft seal for leakage.
To replace the crankshaft seal, refer to the car model and year.

Installation
