Oil Filter: Service and Repair

Oil/oil filter, replacing

Warning! Hot oil can scald. Avoid skin contact with engine oil, especially if it is dirty. Always wipe spilled oil from your hands and wash
exposed skin as soon as possible with suitable cleaner and warm water. Protective gloves should be worn when working with engine oil.

Removal

Draining engine oil

Remove the oil filler cap.
Lift the vehicle according to: Jacking points, body See: Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair.

Hint: The engine should be at operating temperature for the oil to drain more easily.

Removing the lower engine cover

Remove:

-

the 6 screws

-

the lower engine cover.
