Secure the long end of the wire in the upper winch. Raise about 20 cm.
Check that the loose end of the wire is not slipping.
Secure the other end of the wire in the lower winch.
Use both winches to wind in the wire as much as possible.
Protect the interior trim using the parabolic chisel when the wire is fed in.
Either move the lower winch forward so that the final section of the wire can be winched in, or angle out the window and cut using the extractor knife.
Installing rear side windows
The rear door must always be open.
Always ensure that a side window is open so that the bonded window does not jump out of position when a door is closed.
When working with PUR adhesive on the body flange, see PUR on body flange .
Clean the area on the window to which PUR adhesive is to be applied with cleaner-H (black cap).
Apply glass activator (yellow cork) and glass primer (green cork) to the same surface. Use plenty of glass primer, but do not let it run.
Let the primer dry until the surface is matte.
Apply PUR rim activator (blue cork) to the remaining PUR bead on the tailgate if the windshield has been removed for more than eight hours.
Apply adhesive to the body flange on the old PUR bead.
Press the window into place by hand.
Check that the window is aligned with the door.
Secure with tape.
