CAN bus

Data bus:

A data bus is a system for the transmission and distribution of data signals.

CAN:

A Controller Area Network is a bus system working with two wires. They are referred to as bus wires. The bus wires transmit data signals in serial form (one after the other) to the control units connected to the system.

These control units communicate with each other (i.e. exchange data) via the CAN bus.
