Removing and installing/replacing left or right
rear light
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove rear light cover from luggage compartment wheel
arch trim
Note:
Luggage compartment wheel arch trim shown removed for
purposes of clarity.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Remove socket housing.
Unscrew nuts (3, 4, 5). Tightening torque 63 21 1AZ
.
Remove rear light (2) in outward direction from rear light base.
Installation:
•
Make sure rubber buffer (6) is correctly seated on side
panel, rubber buffer (6) must be stuck to marking (V) on
side panel
•
Observe tightening sequence:
1.
Tighten nut (3)
2.
Tighten nut (4)
3.
Tighten nut (5)
•
Make sure gap (outer) is uniform all round between rear
light (2) and side panel.
•
Replace sealing frame for rear light
