Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the heater/evaporator core housing. For additional information, refer to Section  412-02 Heating and Ventilation.

  1. Separate the blower motor/evaporator housing.

  1. Separate the heater/evaporator housing.
    1. Remove the bolts.
    1. Remove the rubber seal.
    1. Remove the nut and the cover.
    • Unclip the vacuum hose.
    • Disconnect the housing parts.

  1. Remove the evaporator.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install new O-rings and coat them with refrigerant oil.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:When installing a new evaporator, install the gaskets as they were on the old evaporator.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Check the air conditioning system for normal operation.
