Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.
    Peel back the door watershield.
  1. Connect the battery ground cable.

  1. Connect the window switch.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Lower the glass, till it is a quarter up, to gain access to the glass clamp bolts.
    Remove the glass calmp bolts.
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure the glass is adequately supported at the top of the channel.
    Release the glass from the regulator.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  1. Drill out the two rivets from the regulator.

  1. Disconnect the regulator motor electrical connector.

  1. Remove the regulator and motor.

Installation
  1. Install the regulator and motor.

  1. Install the window regulator to the door with rivets.

  1. Connect the regulator motor electrical connector.
  1. Connect the battery cable.
  1. Adjust the door glass. For additional information, refer to the General Procedures in this section.
  1. Install the door watershield.
  1. Install the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.
