Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Remove the engine oil filler pipe.

  1. Remove the intake air resonator retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe and intake air resonator assembly.
Vehicles with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
  1. Remove the EGR valve tube outlet pipe.
All vehicles
  1. Remove the power steering pump belt cover.
Vehicles with EGR
  1. Remove the EGR valve tube retaining bolts.
All vehicles
  1. Remove the power steering pump belt.
    • Rotate the tensioner clockwise.

Installation

Vehicles with EGR
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
All vehicles
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
