Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.
    Detach the watershield from the liftgate panel.

  1. Remove the liftgate lock cylinder retaining clip.

  1. Insert the key into the liftgate lock cylinder and rotate it clockwise.

  1. Depress the tang to release the liftgate lock cylinder.

  1. Rotate the liftgate lock cylinder counterclockwise.

  1. Remove the liftgate lock cylinder.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
