NOTE:
The old and new relays are stamped with the part number for easy identification. The old and new relays are not interchangeable, but an
antenna assembly with the new relay may be used to replace the old assembly, as the electrical connection is identical.
Inspection and Testing Procedures:
First, check that a cassette is not inserted in the cassette player.
Then check the antenna operation by turning the ignition to ACC and turning the radio on or off. If the antenna fails to operate, use the inspection
procedure below to determine which component is faulty, and replace or repair as necessary.
If the antenna is stuck in the up position, check for physical damage to the pole before testing the electrical components.

Check the hazard-horn fuse and the radio fuse.

Check the antenna motor operation. Remove the connector and using jumper wires inspect as follows:

With the antenna in the down position, connect as shown.
If the antenna goes up, the motor and cable drive are O.K.
