Toothed Belt, Remove and Install > < Cylinder Block, Check for Plane Surface inspection

 

Toothed Belt Cover, Lower Part, Remove and Install  

Notice: 

F 9953 shows X 16 XEL.  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove upper part of toothed belt cover - see operation "Toothed Belt Cover - Upper Part, Remove and Install".  

Remove side engine compartment cover. Remove front right wheel.  

Mark running direction of ribbed V-belt. Release tension in ribbed V-belt in clockwise direction by means of ribbed V-belt tension roller and KM-913-A and remove ribbed V-belt from alternator pulley.  

Lever closure plug (arrow) out of opening with screwdriver.  

Insert KM-911 (1) in opening of oil pan and lock flywheel or drive disc.  

Remove increment disc (2) from crankshaft. Remove fastening bolts (3). Unclip toothed belt cover, lower part from rear toothed belt cover and remove.

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Clip lower part of toothed belt cover to rear toothed belt cover and secure with fastening bolts. Tightening torque 4 Nm / 3 lbf. ft.  

Attach increment disc with new fastening bolt to crankshaft - tightening torque 95 Nm / 70 lbf. ft. + 30 ° + 15 ° .  

Object Number: 616197  Size: DEFAULT  Measure   

Measure crankshaft pulse pickup distance with feeler gauge. Nominal value: 1.0 ± 0.7 mm:  

 

-  Replace crankshaft pulse pick-up bracket (X 16 XEL)  

-  Replace oil pump (X 18 XE1)  

 

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Insert new closure plug into opening of oil pan. Attach front right wheel - tightening torque 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft.  

Install side engine compartment cover.  

Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller clockwise with KM-913-A and position ribbed V-belt - note running direction of ribbed V-belt.  

Install upper part of toothed belt cover - see operation "Toothed Belt Cover - Upper Part, Remove and Install".
