 Do not use compressed air to blow on the brake system components, the dust produced is harmful to health!

Contact surfaces between the brake pads and the brake carrier must be cleaned, removing any corrosion.

Clean the brake caliper.

Use only appropriate solvents for cleaning brake caliper. 

Installing

Before pressing the piston into the cylinder bore, some brake fluid must be extracted from the brake fluid reservoir. Otherwise, especially if
the reservoir has been topped off, fluid will overflow and cause damage.

Press the piston into the bore using the resetting & extracting tool ( T 10165 ) and (1065/1). Do not damage the protective caps.

‹› For pistons that are difficult to press in, a 13 mm open end wrench can be used at the location - arrow A - on the resetting & extracting tool ( T

10165 ).

Insert the brake pad anti rattle springs - arrows - and brake pads to the brake carrier.

Make sure that the brake pads are located correctly in the anti-rattle springs - arrows -.
