Tensioning V-belts
 
V48-1044
  • ‒ Loosen hexagon nut -4- 1).
  • ‒ Loosen hexagon bolt -1- 1).
  • ‒ Loosen clamping bolt -3- for adjustment bolt -8- (=> Illustration 48-1064 on Page 48-130) at least one full turn 1).
  • ‒ → Tension V-belt by turning adjustment bolt -8-
    (=> Illustration 48-1064 on Page 48-130) with torque wrench -A- (V.A.G 1410 and V.A.G 1410/2).

Specification:
used belts, 4 Nm
new belts, 7 Nm

 
V48-1044
  • ‒ → Tighten adjustment bolt clamping bolt -3- to 25 Nm.
  • ‒ Tighten hexagon bolt -1- to 45 Nm.
  • ‒ Tighten hexagon bolt -2- and nut -4- to 25 Nm.

Note:

Nut -4- is only installed on petrol engines.

    1)    If not already loosened.
