Side Airbag Replacement

NOTE: If replacing the side airbag after deployment, refer to Component Replacement/ Inspection After Deployment  See: Service and Repair for a
complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure  See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait for 3 minutes

before starting work.

2. Disconnect the side airbag inflator 2P connector (A).

3. Remove the front seat See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Removal/Installation and seat-back cover  See: Body and

Frame/Seats/Seat Cover/Service and Repair/Front Seat-back Cover/Pad Replacement.

4. Remove the mounting nut (A), then remove the side airbag (B).
