9. Install the lock pin (E) into the ball joint pin hole as shown.
10. Wipe off any grease contamination from the ball joint tapered section and threads, then install the knuckle (A) onto the tie-rod end ball joint (B).
Be careful not to damage the ball joint boot (C). Wipe off the grease before tightening the nut at the ball joint. Install a new nut (D) to the specified
torque.
NOTE: Make sure the ball joint boot is not damaged or cracked.
11. Install a new cotter pin (E) and bend it as shown.
12. With active damper system: Install the suspension stroke sensor See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Steering and
Suspension/Sensors and Switches - Suspension/Ride Height Sensor/Service and Repair.
13. Install exhaust pipe A See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System/Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair.
14. Install the engine undercover See: Body and Frame/Splash Guard/Service and Repair/Engine Undercover Replacement.
15. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the seating surface of a new spindle nut (A).
