Renewing input shaft oil seal
Renewing input shaft oil seal
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Extractor tool -T20143/1-
  W00-2958
t  Thrust piece -T40008-
t  Sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-
  W00-1002
Procedure
l  Gearbox removed
–  Remove clutch slave cylinder with release bearing → Chapter.
–  Pry out input shaft oil seal using extractor lever -T20143/1-.
  Note
Take care not to damage contact surface for oil seal on input shaft.
  A34-0614
–  Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- half full with sealing grease -G 052 128 A1-.
–  Lightly oil outer circumference of new oil seal.
  N32-0001
–  Drive in oil seal until flush using thrust piece -T40008-.
–  Install clutch slave cylinder with release bearing → Chapter.
